UI/UX design in Prague

What a Prague customer needs from a product page is narrower than most designs assume, and it usually comes down to one thing: software businesses selling internationally. Everything else on the screen is competing with that. We deliver this remotely for Prague clients rather than from an office there.

A drawing of a design system for a Prague store being measured: type sizes, colour tokens, component states and a contrast reading above the WCAG 2.2 AA threshold.

Software businesses selling internationally

The question gets answered with facts placed where the doubt occurs.

Moving the relevant detail next to the moment somebody hesitates is worth more than adding it to a policy page that a small fraction of visitors will ever open. Most of the Prague work we are asked about comes from businesses pricing by market rather than globally, frequently based around Holešovice. What those businesses have in common is that the requirement above is not optional for them, whatever else changes about the build. The same decisions that make this clear make it accessible. Labels that stay visible, focus you can see, headings in a sensible order and controls that work without a pointer are not an overlay on good design; they are most of what good design consists of. The whole interface hangs off that one point. software businesses selling internationally is what a Prague visitor came to establish, and a page that buries it under everything else has answered several questions nobody was asking while leaving the only one that mattered completely open.

We have no office in Prague. Our studio is in Rajkot, India, and every project here is delivered remotely — if a supplier who can attend your premises matters to you, that is a fair requirement and we do not meet it.

What a UI/UX design project includes

Three things, and they are the same wherever you are. What changes is the subject above.

  • UX audit against a published checklist

  • Redesign of the highest-revenue templates

  • Design system and tokens, where they earn their cost

The other three, and what each one covers

Each answers a different question for Prague businesses. None of them repeats this page.

UI/UX design questions from Prague

Three questions about the subject above. How we work, what it costs and who owns the code are answered on the service page.

Do you redesign or start from scratch?

Usually neither at first. The useful first step is establishing what is actually going wrong, which is frequently narrower than a redesign and considerably cheaper. A Prague store losing customers at one step does not need a new visual identity; it needs that step fixed.

How do you know a change is an improvement?

By measuring it where the volume supports measurement, and by reasoning honestly where it does not. Small stores rarely have the traffic for a reliable test, and pretending otherwise produces confident conclusions from noise. In that case the argument has to stand on its own merits. That applies to a Prague client exactly as it would anywhere else.

What do you need from us to start?

Access to what customers actually do, whatever form that takes, and half an hour with whoever answers the support messages. That second conversation is consistently the most useful part of the work, because complaints describe the interface more accurately than any brief does. None of that changes because you happen to be in Prague.
