Our work

Case studies

Documented builds on Shopify and WooCommerce — including a store selling After Effects project files as digital downloads. Each page states what we did, what we did not do, and which numbers are verified against a named source rather than estimated.

    The NitroPress storefront on Shopify

    ShopifyBuilt from scratchUnited Kingdom

    NitroPress

    Consumer hardware and speciality coffee

NitroPress sells nitro cold brew makers from London into eighty currencies, in three machine tiers, alongside a spare-parts catalogue and a wholesale channel. We built the storefront from scratch, taking it from structure and UX planning through interface design to full development on Shopify.

The brand has since moved from NitroPress to Hatfields, and nitropress.com now redirects to hatfieldslondon.com. The site's own banner reads "NitroPress is now Hatfields." The rebrand and the domain move were not our work.

    The Bugstick storefront on Shopify

    ShopifyRedesignAustralia

    Bugstick

    Direct-to-consumer hardware

Bugstick sells a humane catch-and-release insect tool designed in Australia, and arrived with an audience already talking about it. We did not rebuild the store. We redesigned key shopping pages, worked on the friction in the customer journey, and have kept improving and maintaining the site since.

The Macian Collection storefront on Shopify

    ShopifyRedesignUnited Kingdom

    Macian Collection

    Luxury footwear

Macian Collection sells women's footwear handcrafted in England, sold through an editorial storefront where photography leads and the purchase is considered. We refined and modernised the existing store while preserving the brand identity, working on visual experience, product discovery, mobile usability and conversion.

    EarnEdits

    Digital products for video editors

EarnEdits sells editable After Effects project files to video editors, with a membership tier, an affiliate programme and a tutorials library alongside the store. We built it from scratch on WooCommerce, planning the structure, designing the experience and interface, and developing the site.

The Workshop.nl storefront on WordPress and WooCommerce

    WordPress and WooCommerceBuilt from scratchNetherlands

    Workshop.nl

    Workshop and experience marketplace

Workshop.nl is a Dutch marketplace where independent hosts list, sell and manage their own classes rather than a single retailer selling stock. We built the platform on WordPress and WooCommerce, covering vendor onboarding, ticketed booking, payment handling, a seller dashboard, and direct messaging between a host and the person booking.

How we choose what to publish

Case studies are the one part of an agency site that makes claims about someone else's business. That changes what a mistake costs: an oversold service page is marketing, an oversold case study is a false statement published under a client's name.

The consequence is that this page is shorter than it could be. Work under NDA is absent, and so is work where our part is genuinely hard to separate from someone else's.

  • We publish only with written consent

A study cannot go live without it — the content schema refuses to validate a published entry that lacks the permission flag, so forgetting is not a failure mode available to us.

  • Scope is a fixed field, not a paragraph

Every study declares whether it was built from scratch, redesigned, migrated or maintained. Prose is where scope goes to die — “we worked on” can mean a theme tweak or a full build, and the reader cannot tell which.

  • Every number carries a source, or it does not appear

No estimates, no illustrative figures, no ranges invented to fill a gap. Where we do not hold a verified number, the page describes the work and stays quiet about the result.

Questions about how we work

Six questions about how these projects are selected, what we will and will not claim about them, and what happens when the numbers are not ours to publish.

How do you choose which projects to publish?

We publish the projects where the client has given written consent, and where we can describe our scope accurately. That rules out work covered by an agreement that does not allow it, and work where what we did is hard to state without overstating it. The selection is not a ranking of our best work.

Do you publish results for every project?

No, and that is deliberate. A figure appears on these pages only when it comes from a named source we can point at, such as a client analytics account over a stated date range. Where we do not have that, the page describes what we did and says nothing about the numbers rather than estimating them.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, routinely. Some of the work we are most pleased with sits under an agreement that prevents us naming the client or showing the store, so it is absent from this page entirely. An agency portfolio shows the projects it is allowed to show, which is not the same as everything it has done.

Can you work on a store someone else built?

Most of our work is exactly that. Two of the studies here are redesigns of stores that already existed, where the job was to improve what was there rather than replace it. Taking over an existing build is a different discipline from starting fresh, and it is the more common one.

Will you say what you actually did on a project?

Every case study states its engagement type at the top: built from scratch, redesign, migration, ongoing retainer, or a specific piece of work. That field is a fixed list rather than free text, so a page cannot be vague about scope. Implying we built a store we only maintained would be a trust failure.

Can I speak to one of these clients?

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the client rather than on us. Ask and we will pass the request on. We will not share a client contact without their agreement, and we would rather tell you no than put a customer in an awkward position on our behalf.

Tell us what you are building

Whether it is a new store or one that already exists and needs work, the first conversation is about scope rather than a pitch.
