Ecommerce website development in Porto
Ecommerce development in Porto often has to choose between two versions of one language. European and Brazilian Portuguese differ in vocabulary, spelling and register, and readers notice immediately which one a store was written in. We build Shopify and WooCommerce stores for Porto businesses remotely, and we hold no Porto office.
What is ecommerce in Porto actually like?
A shared language is not a shared market, and Portuguese makes that unusually visible. Vocabulary differs on everyday commercial terms, spelling conventions differ, and the register that reads as normal in one variant reads as formal or foreign in the other. A store written in one and sold into the other converts worse without anybody being able to say precisely why. Treating the two as separate content targets — with their own copy and their own targeting rather than one file serving both — is more work and it is the only version that reads as native in either.

What we build for Porto businesses
We build four things, and all four are delivered the same way wherever the client is: Shopify stores, WooCommerce stores, the interface design that decides whether either converts, and the automation that removes manual work from running them.
Shopify Development
Shopify development is the work of building a store on Shopify that does what your business needs rather than what a theme allows.
What we buildWooCommerce Development
WooCommerce development is the work of building a store on WordPress and WooCommerce, where you host the software and own the database outright.
What we buildUI/UX Design
Ecommerce UI/UX design is the work of deciding how a store looks and how customers move through it, from landing page to completed order.
What we buildAI Automation
AI automation for ecommerce means using language models and workflow tools to remove repetitive work from running a store.
What we build
What does each service run into in Porto?
Four pages, one per service, each about a different problem that Porto businesses actually bring us rather than a restatement of this one.

How does remote delivery work for a Porto business?
We have no office in Porto and no plans to open one. Work is delivered from our studio in Rajkot, through a shared board you can open at any time rather than a weekly status call. Everything agreed is written down the same day, because a decision nobody can find later is the same as one nobody made.
VAT here
Portuguese VAT applies to Portuguese sales, and selling into Brazil is an export with its own import rules on the other side, which is a different arrangement entirely from serving Portuguese-speaking customers within the EU.
Where your obligations actually begin is a question for a tax adviser. We build the store to collect correctly against whatever answer you get.

Which Porto sectors do we build for?
The Porto economy produces most of the businesses below, and their requirements we have met before. A sector missing from this list is a scoping conversation, not a refusal.

Porto questions we are asked
Five questions specific to working with us from Porto, including the one every remote agency should answer first and most do not: whether we are actually there.
Do you have an office in Porto?
No. We work from Rajkot, India, and Porto clients are served remotely rather than from a Portuguese address we do not hold. Saying so here is the same standard applied to every location page on this site rather than a caveat written specially for this one.
Is one Portuguese version really not enough?
It works and it converts worse in whichever market it was not written for. Readers notice within a sentence, and the effect is strongest on trust-sensitive pages like returns and delivery. Whether the gap justifies a second version is a commercial judgement about how much of your revenue sits on each side.
How is the targeting set up?
As separate language and country versions with reciprocal hreflang at page level, not one page serving both. Search engines can then show the right variant, which is the practical benefit. A single page trying to rank for both usually ranks properly for neither.
Do we need separate product copy?
For the pages that persuade, yes. Specifications and technical fields can be shared because numbers do not vary by variant. Descriptions, category names and anything conversational are where the difference shows, and those are also where the effort is worth spending.
Does selling into Brazil change anything else?
Considerably. It becomes an export with import handling on the other side, different payment methods, different consumer expectations and long transit times. The language is the smallest of those differences, which surprises businesses that assumed it was the main barrier.
